5 Reasons You Should be on Twitter:
1. Connectivitism is the new “ism”: a learning paradigm for the digital age. Twitter gets you connected and allows you to participate in world class creation and communication cycles.

2. Twitter is currently the most up to date (up to the minute) source of world news and innovation in a wide range of disciplines. (Yes, Education is one of those).
3. Because waiting for print based resources to arrive at your desk could put you in the cycle of content decay.
4.Connecting with colleagues on Twitter is easy, instantaneous, wide-ranging and inspiring. It also means that you are “in the social media loop” and have an understanding of this important 21st century way of communicating.
5. Twitter is a vast repository of resources including access to the best and the brightest thinkers of our time. It is redefining conceptions of knowledge.
I have been using Twitter for a while and it has been great to keep up to date. A quick suggestion is to use hashtags (#) to improve your experience. For example if you are looking for issues in BC Education you will want to check out #bced. For mathematics I use #mathchat.
